Just spent a few nights mountain biking in the Cairngorms. Beautiful area. The house was fabulous, well equipped, clean, tidy and very spacious. Really nice quiet area, and not far from everything as well as having shop and restaurant within walking distance.
Had a nice stay and was very happy with the property. Would definitely recommend it.

Just returned from a wonderful week at Ben Macdhui with our children and grandchildren. A great house and lovely views from the upstairs lounge. The house is very well equipped and located in a quiet street. The 2 cyclists in the family loved the space for their bikes and the drying racks/pulley in the utility room for drying wet gear and equipment. Boat of Garten is a beautiful village with a great gallery coffee shop and a hotel and restaurant- all within easy walking distance. The village is only 5 miles from Aviemore which is a bonus. Heaps to do irrespective of the weather. We had a trip to see the new polar bear cub, walks round lovely Loch Mallachie and Loch Garten, a trip to the Highland Folk Museum and to stunning Loch Morlich. Can highly recommend this property and appreciated the excellent communication from the owner.

We had a lovely time staying at Ben Macdui. The house is very well heated (didn't have to use the wood-burning stove) and spacious and comfortable. Very accommodating for children and for catering for a large number of guests. The location is perfect to going along the trails from Boat of Garden to Aviemore and also nearby areas. Walking distance from local shops and Anderson's restaurant. Overall, very happy with the property!

My family and I had a wonderful week in Boat of Garten, Aviemore and surrounding area. Ben Macdui is such a comfortable, light filled and spacious home, situated in a lovely quiet area just a few minutes walk to the Boat Hotel, great little local deli/general shop (our children loved their ice cream!), Andersons restaurant and quaint Strathspey Railway station. The weather was fab so we didn't need to light the woodburner (was almost tempted to anyway!) but we did have a few sundowners and a BBQ in the secluded back garden. There is just so much to do in this area and we ticked quite a few off our wishlist; Landmark (roller coaster addictive!), Loch Morlich for a swim (thanks sunshine and wetsuits) and boat ride, walks around Loch Garten, cycling around beautiful Loch an Eilean followed by delicious food at The Druie, Highland Wildlife Park, excellent Highland Folk Museum and more! We really hope to return to Ben Macdui again. Highly recommended!

Ben Macdui house is very spacious and well equipped. Plenty of room for four adults and three children. Excellent location for popping into Aviemore and surrounding area. Boat of Garten offers everything a village should. Would definitely recommend and book again.
