  • Had a great week at Ben Macdui with our two sons, their wives and our two lovely grandchildren.
The house is excellent, plenty of room for everyone. Very well equipped, clean and comfortable. No need to use the wood stove as storage heaters kept the place very warm. Would highly recommend this property for a great place to stay. Mrs P Hawkins from Carlisle 22nd-29th December 2018
  • This is our second stay at Ben Macdui, and again had lovely stay. It’s a very spacious accommodation, clean, tidy and has the bonus of a playroom for children. It’s always cosy warm so we had no need to fire up the wood burner. The house is situated in a quiet area, but only a very short walk to the local shop, restaurant and the Boat hotel for refreshments after the numerous walks/trails virtually on it’s doorstep. Highly recommended and will be back again. Mr D Hay from Glasgow 7th-11th November 2018
  • Have just returned from a week at Boat of Garten and can highly recommend it. The house really suited us. As grandparents we could stay downstairs while extended family had the use of upstairs. There is a playroom for the children and a livingroom for the grown ups. My granddaughters had a great time using all the beds as hospital beds. Boat of Garten is very central to a lot of locations so no need for long car journeys which was vital to 2 toddlers who hate long journeys and ask every 5 minutes if we are there yet. Would have no qualms about booking house again. Mrs Lorraine Baker from Kintore Aberdeenshire 20th to 27th October 2018
  • We spent a great week in Boat of Garten with our family (children and grandchildren). There is so much to do for all ages in the village and surrounding area - not least for those who enjoy the outdoors. The well appointed house was a great fit for a multigenerational group, and we had a busy but totally relaxing time. Malcolm and Catharina from Sweden 12th-18th July 2018
  • Just spent a few nights mountain biking in the Cairngorms. Beautiful area. The house was fabulous, well equipped, clean, tidy and very spacious. Really nice quiet area, and not far from everything as well as having shop and restaurant within walking distance.
Had a nice stay and was very happy with the property. Would definitely recommend it. Holly and Rico from Switzerland 24 June 2018
  • Just returned from a wonderful week at Ben Macdhui with our children and grandchildren. A great house and lovely views from the upstairs lounge. The house is very well equipped and located in a quiet street. The 2 cyclists in the family loved the space for their bikes and the drying racks/pulley in the utility room for drying wet gear and equipment. Boat of Garten is a beautiful village with a great gallery coffee shop and a hotel and restaurant- all within easy walking distance. The village is only 5 miles from Aviemore which is a bonus. Heaps to do irrespective of the weather. We had a trip to see the new polar bear cub, walks round lovely Loch Mallachie and Loch Garten, a trip to the Highland Folk Museum and to stunning Loch Morlich. Can highly recommend this property and appreciated the excellent communication from the owner. Grace Arthur from Kintore, Aberdeenshire June 2018
