  • Another wonderful holiday spent at Ben Macdui. The party consisted of 8 adults varying in age from 29 to 90 and all agreed the facilities suited everyone. The house is beautifully fitted with comfort being a prime factor. It is well maintained and all you could need for a holiday home is there including wildlife in the garden. Ben Macdui is very highly recommended. The local post office / general store is near and caters for all requirements. Linda Blincow from Coventry UK 9th August 2014
  • Another great 2 weeks based at Boat of Garten, in particular, Ben Macdui.
Always feel at home there, everything we need. This was our 10th anniversary at Ben Macdui and enjoyed every minute of it. Hannahs from Stoke on Trent from STOKE-ON-TRENT 26 July 2014
  • We eight women walkers really enjoyed our stay in Boat of Garten. The house, with lots of space for boots, outdoor wear etc in addition to the laundry room, was ideal for us. We appreciated the lovely large sitting room and the well equipped kitchen/ diner which accommodated us well. It was super to have hot water always on tap and the house was so warm that we did not need to light the log burner although it was pretty cool outside at night. The location was great too with plenty of walks nearby in marvellous scenery. On behalf of Janet, Ruth, Brenda, Libby, Thelma, Alice, Mary,

  • A fantastic, well equipped and well laid out house for an active family holiday. A lounge/playroom, with quality television, for the children downstairs and a separate one upstairs for the adults, and the wood stove is really effective. Wifi throughout the house is a very useful for checking weather, ski conditions, local maps or for the kids doing their holiday homework. The kitchen is well equipped and the utility room is spacious.
Local facilities couldn’t be better. Two nearby local shops, the nearest less than 300 paces away, and two restaurants roughly the same distance.
We stayed in winter so were primarily concerned with skiing at Cairngorm (roughly 15 miles away, but the back road to Coylumbridge is quite twisting and narrow). But when we were not skiing there are all the local walks in the woods behind Boat of Garten or across the bridge towards Loch Garten. Nethy Bridge and the numerous forest walks weren’t too far away either.

  • Good to be back at the house after missing a year. 8 or 9 years now at Ben Macdui and always feel at home. The move round in the lounge is an improvement as is the fridge and freezer. Looking forward to booking 1 week or 2 same time next year. hannahs from STOKE-ON-TRENT July 2013
  • Heading down to Ben Macdui next week for our 4th stay there. Boat of Garten is the best village on Speyside; walks and cycle routes in every direction, no need to get in the car. Two shops for your daily supplies, cycle hire just round the corner, 2 restaurants. Skiing only 20 min drive away on the shortcut back road. The house itself is spacious, clean and warm. The large drying room is so useful for all that wet outdoor gear. The Baikies from Wick Jan 2013
